We had a beautiful baby girl Friday at 10:01 am. She weighed 6lbs 8oz and was 19 inches long. What a roller coaster the last week has been. I was scheduled to be induced at 5am on Fri because of low amniotic fluid. We got to the hospital and I was not even a bit nervous. Till they stuck me with the IV twice. My veins are normally good but I had a student nurse doing the IV. Everything was going well. Was not even feeling the contractions David and the nurse had to tell me when I was having them. All I wanted was to have another natural child birth. I did just that and a short while later I had my beautiful baby girl.

Baby News

Went to the doctors last Thurs. Was there a little longer than we had anticipated. They did a ultrasound and found out that my amniotic fluid is low. Which protects the baby. Also means for a dry birth. I am a little scared now. The doc wants to induce labor on Fri. I will be 37 weeks by then which is term. The baby looked good and measured normal. Weighs around 5lbs 11oz. I hope all goes well and the baby is healthy. I have prepared this weekend to have a baby next weekend in my house.

My sister kindly took Devin for the weekend. That was the first weekend David and I were away from him more than 24 hours. It was kind of lonely without him. I did get alot accomplished. My mom and mother in law came and helped. So I did not have to over do it. The pics are of Devin's fun weekend with Dan Dan and Chels. By the looks of the pics he played at the mall and played guitar hero. I know he was spoiled rotten and well taken care of. I'm glad it worked out. I was really able to get alot done and prepare for the new baby.

Baby update

Went to the Doc's again today. Yes it has been two weeks already. Time is just flying away with this pregnancy. Went well but the doc ordered another ultra sound for two weeks again. I'm just not gaining the weight with this pregnancy like I did with Devin. I gained 1 lb in 2 weeks. Not so bad but the baby does need a little fat on its bones. I am now 34 weeks and measuring at 30 weeks. He said could be just the way the baby is positioned. Let's hope everything is good for my next doc visit.

Baby update

Went last Thursday to the doctors. Everything seems too be going just fine. My ultrasound went well a couple of weeks ago too. Baby measured fine. I am now 32 weeks along and measuring at 30 weeks. The doc said the baby may just be tiny but everything else is fine so far. Besides my ankles swelling up. Still trying to decide on some names. You would think we would already have some but without knowing the sex you have to come up with a boy and girl name. Can be difficult when you don't agree.

Bedroom ready!

I have been harping on David to get the room ready for both kids, since we only have two bedrooms. They will have to share a room till we get a bigger house someday. So for now somebody gave us a set of bunkbeds. The bottom is a full size bed and the top a twin. We already had a full mattress so we just need to get the twin. I took pictures of the final results. I think it looks pretty nice. My mom was so nice to order a bed set to match the room for the bunks. We changed the curtains and added curtains on my closet and rearranged. Chels, Dan and my mom helped me. I am thankful they were able to help. Now we will try the real test and put Devin in the bed at night. I will keep you updated on he sleeps at night!

I will also update this week on my doc appt. I start going every two weeks now. The Doc figured we would do a ultrasound cause I was measuring small. Hopefully the baby is just a petite little thing and everything is just fine. I am starting to get tired alot easier than before when I was pregnant. Now I have Devin to chase after too. Time does seem to be flying by.

These may not be the clearest, but I think you get the picture. The first one is of the head and chest. The others were of a hand and a foot. Now everyone can take a guess at what we are having. Somedays Devin wants a brother and others he wants a sister. Guess we will find out in about 3 short months. The doc said everything looks good and it will probably be a small baby.

Devin had his toddler check-up today with Dr Nieset. He said he is very tall for his age 33 1\2 inches tall and 26lbs. Everything checked out good. Could not believe how well he could talk. Somedays I can't believe it either.

So your all wondering why we bought a van with one child. More room might be the answer or Devin can now see all the animals and combines in the fields. Or maybe another baby is on the way. Well all are right answers. We are expecting our 2ND child in May. I guess we timed that one just right for me to be off all summer.
I am almost 12 weeks along and have had one heck of a time. I have been miserable compared to my first pregnancy. I've only went to the doctors once. So my next checkup is Nov 9. All the good stuff then. Maybe even the heartbeat.
I will keep everyone posted when we find out more. But don't ask what we are having because we like to keep it a surprise. You don't have very many surprises in life that are such a miracles anymore!!
