Ultrasound Pics

These may not be the clearest, but I think you get the picture. The first one is of the head and chest. The others were of a hand and a foot. Now everyone can take a guess at what we are having. Somedays Devin wants a brother and others he wants a sister. Guess we will find out in about 3 short months. The doc said everything looks good and it will probably be a small baby.
Devin had his toddler check-up today with Dr Nieset. He said he is very tall for his age 33 1\2 inches tall and 26lbs. Everything checked out good. Could not believe how well he could talk. Somedays I can't believe it either.

Memories

This was taken 2 years ago Christmas of Grandma and Grandpa Siefert. What a Christmas that was. Little did we know that would be the last Christmas spent as a family. The following year G-pa went into the nursing home and G-ma could always be found right there by his side everyday. They were a couple of strong faith and strong commitment to each other. Grandma got sick with her heart and lungs in the middle of December. Although she lived a good many years making her grace and presence of God on this earth, she past on to be with him Dec 11, 2007. We miss her dearly. Only now was the real trial trying to keep grandpa healthy and strong to live on without her by his side everyday. We know she was always with him in spirit.
We all have been trying to keep G-pa up in his spirits. He has been battling his sickness(alzheimers) in the nursing home for 16 months now. He was always a jolly man with a great big grin on his face. It saddens me to say he got sick too and died from pneumonia on Jan 7, 2008. Almost a month from the day of G-ma Siefert's passing. We all know they wanted nothing more but to be together in good health. Bet in heaven they are up there smiling down on us playing cards with there friends and having fun together. David and I know we will meet with them one day again.
I can only hope this year will bring better days ahead for all of the Siefert family. 2 funerals in 1 month is very hard. Something nobody wants to go through. David went from having 4 grandparents to just 2 very quickly. As I always told him cherish your grandparents as you will never no when something can happen. I only have one living. We will always tell Devin how proud his Great G-ma and G-pa Siefert were of him. G-ma always said that if they were ornery you know they were always normal. Will in fact Devin is very normal cause he is always ornery. Next time I hope to write more of a upbeat post. This year can only get better. Especially with a new little one coming in only a few months.

I decided to repaint my bathroom. I fell in love with blues and greens and found this awesome shower curtain. Nothing fancy but I liked it. Took a week to finish it since the paint would not stick. So my mom finished it in the midst of all the drama we've been put through this year already. Thanks mom looks awewsome. I don't think it looks to bad for being a old home.

2nd birthday (Dec 29)

This was Devin's birthday cake. He loves the digger and dump truck on it. The other is a pic of Devin opening many of his presents. Then came the big gift from Grammy and Poppy. The kids loved it so much they got inside and played. When I can't find Devin around the house I always know he is in the barn playing.

On the fifth day of Christmas

This was the last and final christmas for the year. Devin was way to spoiled at all the other party's that I thought we would have to build a bigger house. Well I guess grandparents can't help but spoil there own grandkids. We all made out really good this year. Devin especially. He got more clothes and toys plus a motorized 4-wheeler from santa hiler. Mom thought it would be neat to buy all the kiddos bikes except devin is just to little for a bike yet. Maybe next year santa. He did like the 4-wheeler. We even had to ride it outside too. Over he made out really good, but we do need a bigger house now.

On the fourth day of Christmas

This was christmas with David's mom, dad, sister and her husband. We went out to their house after we had finished opening our own gifts. Of course Devin was spoiled again. He got tons of clothes which he had to try on. Two john deere stocking hats in the pics you can see he is already sporting one. Then came the big gift after we ate. The john deere tractor. Or as Devin calls it a vroom vroom. It is the cutest little tractor. He looks like a man on it. It is now a week after christmas and he has it mastered on how to ride and drive it now. Maybe every now and again he will bang a wall.

On the third day of Christmas

This was actually christmas morn. We had a few gifts for Devin and David had a beautiful peridot earrings and necklace for me. How sweet considering we were not going to get eachother anything. It was fun watching Devin open his gifts. Each year we will add more and more as he understands what it is all about. Of course not the gifts but we will still spoil our children.
Merry Christmas!

Family Photo's

These were taken Christmas Eve before our candle light service at church. It will be the last family pic with just Devin. Next christmas we will have our new bundle of joy joining us.

On the second day of Christmas (Hatchers)

There are alot of little kiddos running around at this Christmas. Even though so of them can't even crawl yet. It is alot of fun to see how they change from time to time. Almost all of the family was there. Just a few shy. Of course more good food and fun times to be had. Another one down and three more to go.

On the first day of Christmas (Snay's)

Our first Christmas of the season started off with the Snay christmas. It was Sat all day. Devin was so much fun this year. He really liked opening his gifts. Even though Santa still makes him cry is what he says. He is still all about the gifts. The one pic is of all the grandkids and great grandkids.

Snowmobile ride with daddy!

Daddy took me on another snowmobile ride today. I had lots of fun besides getting all bundled up. Once I was outside I was fine. Mommy had to take lots of pictures. Go figure! Then we took off. We went all over the country side. Mommy was getting worried we were gone to long. I liked every minute of it. We even chased a deer yes a real live deer. That was really cool. Can't wait till daddy and I can bond again. Maybe next time mommy will take pictures with my helmet on.

Santa visit

Our santa visit did not go over very well with Devin. I was excited to take him since I never had. He seen Santa at the sitters last year. We walked in and he backed up in his tracks immediately. So David took him up and had his pic taken too. He received a bag of goodies and off we went. Later that night he told Grammy Santa Cry. That means Santa made me cry. It is kind of a cute story. I think it is a normal 2 year old story.

Last Weekend

Last weekend was our NTPA banquet. It was in Worthington. So we decided to stay at Seth and Karen's. It was Sat night so they kept Devin while we went to the banquet. It went well. They finished 5th overall. We were able to catch up with some friends we only get to see in the summer.
Sun we all woke up and went to church. Then afterwords we ate at a really good restuarant named Buns. We stayed and visited awhile then decided it was time to head for home. We wanted to stop at the hospital too see G-ma Siefert. She had been in there since Fri afternoon. So we headed for home. We all stopped by the hospital and visited with G-ma. We found her in good spirits. She was sitting up eating her supper. We had a great visit.
Little did I know Tues at work David would call me and say she had passed on to be with God. It has been a long and tiring week. We did not expect that at all. We will miss Granpma(MaMa) but had many good memories with her. I hope to publish many more blogs around the holidays that are upbeat and happier!
Grandma you will be missed! We love you!
