Went last Thursday to the doctors. Everything seems too be going just fine. My ultrasound went well a couple of weeks ago too. Baby measured fine. I am now 32 weeks along and measuring at 30 weeks. The doc said the baby may just be tiny but everything else is fine so far. Besides my ankles swelling up. Still trying to decide on some names. You would think we would already have some but without knowing the sex you have to come up with a boy and girl name. Can be difficult when you don't agree.

2008 Louisville KY farm show
I have been slacking in the blogging world. Guess we all have been busy doing this and that. Last week was the annual Farm show down in KY. I blogged last year about it also. Devin and I were able to go for 5 days this year. We had a blast and Devin was great. He sure loves his tractor pulls. David pulled on Wed night. So Kathy, Devin, and I headed down Tues night after I got off work. The weather was horrible. I never have driven that far in weather like that. We finally arrived at the hotel about 12:30 am. Woke up the next morning to find out David had caught the flu Devin and I had earlier in the week. Good thing he did not pull till 7:30 that night. So we stayed in the room all afternoon till pull time. We were excited for his time to come. He was about the 5th hook in the class. The video is the winning run of the night(If it works blogger is not letting me publish it). He did so well you can hear Kathy and I in the background screaming go baby go yahoo. He did place 1st that night which advanced him in the finals on Sat night. So since nothing broke on the tractor we were able to enjoy some of the time down there and watch the pulls in the evening. The Burger boys came down to help with the tractor also. Devin was all excited to know Chad, Ryan, and Tom were coming.
Sat night came around and we were all tense and stressed cause of the lack of sleep we had. They take the top 6 tractors of the class. There were 3 green ones and 3 red ones. So the green had a chance after all. David was the 4th hook of the class. Of course the king of smoke was winning after his run of 235.88. Gettingers pulled next they are big buddies with us so we were cheering them on too. He went out of bounds which disqualified them. Next to pull was us. Nervous and excited we were to close to the track to even video so I did not get that run at all. He pulled and went just three feet shy of Esdon 232.19. That placed him in second. The pull was not over there were still 2 red tractors to go. They did not beat us so we were excited to know we placed in the finals also. They recognize the top three. So we went out on the track to except our award with David. He was being interviewed and told the announcer that the guillotine on the turbo went shut during the run which meant less air to the motor. Or we would have beat Esdon. Oh well better luck next time. We were all satisfied with 2nd place. Can't do much better than a 1st and 2nd .

Memories
This was taken 2 years ago Christmas of Grandma and Grandpa Siefert. What a Christmas that was. Little did we know that would be the last Christmas spent as a family. The following year G-pa went into the nursing home and G-ma could always be found right there by his side everyday. They were a couple of strong faith and strong commitment to each other. Grandma got sick with her heart and lungs in the middle of December. Although she lived a good many years making her grace and presence of God on this earth, she past on to be with him Dec 11, 2007. We miss her dearly. Only now was the real trial trying to keep grandpa healthy and strong to live on without her by his side everyday. We know she was always with him in spirit.
We all have been trying to keep G-pa up in his spirits. He has been battling his sickness(alzheimers) in the nursing home for 16 months now. He was always a jolly man with a great big grin on his face. It saddens me to say he got sick too and died from pneumonia on Jan 7, 2008. Almost a month from the day of G-ma Siefert's passing. We all know they wanted nothing more but to be together in good health. Bet in heaven they are up there smiling down on us playing cards with there friends and having fun together. David and I know we will meet with them one day again.
I can only hope this year will bring better days ahead for all of the Siefert family. 2 funerals in 1 month is very hard. Something nobody wants to go through. David went from having 4 grandparents to just 2 very quickly. As I always told him cherish your grandparents as you will never no when something can happen. I only have one living. We will always tell Devin how proud his Great G-ma and G-pa Siefert were of him. G-ma always said that if they were ornery you know they were always normal. Will in fact Devin is very normal cause he is always ornery. Next time I hope to write more of a upbeat post. This year can only get better. Especially with a new little one coming in only a few months.

I decided to repaint my bathroom. I fell in love with blues and greens and found this awesome shower curtain. Nothing fancy but I liked it. Took a week to finish it since the paint would not stick. So my mom finished it in the midst of all the drama we've been put through this year already. Thanks mom looks awewsome. I don't think it looks to bad for being a old home.
